Our Story
Providing Electrical Services Since 1996
Hurt Electric, Inc. began operations in 1996 by Henry Hurt. Hurt Electric has always operated as a union contractor providing Electrical service and repairs to its customers in Southeastern Wisconsin. Henry Hurt purchased Ardell Electric and merged Ardell Electric into Hurt Electric on May 1, 2006. Hurt Electric moved its office to the Menomonee Falls location from Northwest Milwaukee shortly thereafter.
Ardell Electric had been in operation since 1966, under the ownership of Richard Schmidt, and on April 1, 1998 was acquired by Ron Rechlicz and Tim Jahn. Ardell continued to operate out of its long-time location in West Allis, Wisconsin, until early summer of 2000, when offices were moved to bigger and better accommodations in Menomonee Falls, WI. Ron Rechlicz retired in 2016. Tim Jahn retired in 2020.
Hurt Electric has completed extensive and diversified list of projects such as Miller Park, Hospitals, Educational Institutions, Manufacturing Plants, Telecommunication Utility Facilities, etc. The Hurt Electric team has experience in Construction Supervision and Project Management. Hurt Electric is signatory to a collective bargaining agreement with other NECA contractors and the IBEW 494 Electrical Workers Union.
